a yearlong diary in three-line poems by Jeff Rogers, day 9 Red’s Redwoods North to Mendocino today we drive Red to see his namesake Redwoods. Red dog harbors two cancers lung and spine. Since Elise fed him mushrooms Red’s tumors haven’t grown. Neither to earthbound eyes have the redwoods.
