So apparently there’s a movie coming out based on Channing Tatum’s pre-movie star life as stripper. It also stars Alex Pettyfer, Joe Mangianello (Alcide from TRUE BLOOD), and Matthew McConaughey. I’m just going to leave the trailer here without any further comment. ~via Gawker

I’m just ablaze in self-reproach right now, because I’m going to watch BATTLEFIELD AMERICA, which is basically YOU GOT SERVED with tots (even stars Marques Houston, ya’ll), so hard. It’s like a disease, this inability to not watch dance movies, no matter how terrifically bad and obviously derivative the narrative.

I was completely RIVETED to this (rather long by skit standards) Jimmy Fallon “Downton Sixby.” And apparently it’s going to be an ongoing series. Yes! One can only imagine how addicted I’ll be when I start watching the actual show it’s based on during the summer hiatus.

Other than being the first film starring Dane Cook that I’ve ever had any desire whatsoever to see, the “it’s not half-bad!” reviews for DETENTION are rolling in. I think I might check it out on video one night after I watch all my backed-up DVR recordings of COMMUNITY and rewatch its 90s sire, SCREAM. [...]
