P.S.: The show was good, but it was the actors that made it so. They GOT IT and what IT was. Even the show makes fun of itself.

Ryan, don't think yourself above it because someone took a copy of "Monster Ballads" and turned it into a successful play. I don't love the trend either. I love art and intellect like the next person, but I also love Dio, Kiss, Journey and 2 hours of as Mitch's character Lonny puts it so plainly, "Poop jokes and Whitesnake songs." And I wasn't alone, as the audience was packed with well dressed people who looked as though they should've been watching Boloshi ballet at Lincoln Center and were sucking down as much beer as the dude in front of me with his grey tee, baseball cap and dirty jeans.

Sometimes, you need a little bit of a good time.

Aspiring writer, food service over 5 years with a BFA. To read about what Mitch has gone through, well, I'll omit the inspirational cliches and just say, I relate. As a New Yorker, I'll tell you dreamers that the struggles out here can either turn you into a monster or a douchebag, so optimism and a willingness to face reality is the key to getting by here. Live within your means, rent over food, drink at home, move Brooklyn, etc. No one will tell you these things.

Saved up enough to see "ROA" for my birthday on Friday. Best birthday present EVER! Orchestra, 3rd row C seat next to two teen girls whose 4th time it was at "ROA." Totally sold out show. Mitch is absolutely one of the best performers I've seen on stage in years. He got laughs throughout the performance and a grand standing-O/applause in the end. I hope he gets to stetch his wings as I'd love to see him do more.

This show will definately run for many years to come. WILL see it again, right in front. The tickets are a 1/4 of my paycheck, but, unlike the rest of the country, I'm great at saving money.

Keep Rockin', Mitch.

Right after posting that previous comment on Friday, I saw the typo and was ready to write an addendum comment fixing it, but then I thought, "Come on, Ryan. Who's going to read what will probably be the final comment on your post?"

If I only knew that one, SLPC was lurking in the talkbacksphere than I would have added my correction. Sadly, I can't blame it on the Dom, only my hasty typing skills.

It is not Jenny Gamello on the ukulele (though it does look like her), but a wonderful actress by the name of Lauren Molina, who co-created the web-series with Mitch and played "Johanna" in the recent Broadway revival of SWEENEY TODD.

Falafel or pizza... great idea! And I have no answer for you as to why we didn't decide upon one of those two choices other than perhaps we were seduced by both the Times Square vibe and the OG's seductive tagline, "When you're here, you're family."
