Wow! Some of those movies, I haven't even thought of in years. Many of the movies you mentioned, actually were aired as cheap late night filler at a TV station I used to work for. But, as you pointed out, doesn't happen anymore and they haven't seen the light of day in years. I applaud your Spike TV comment — right on the money. Wait, I better check my free Comcast on-demand movie guide, I bet we find a couple of these beauties there. At least you've given me some ideas to add to my Netflix cue!

STEAL BIG, STEAL LITTLE was a movie celebrating the bohemian lifestyle made by rich people living in Beverly Hills. Also, whenever I hear that title, I always think of the Daniel Stern baseball movie, LITTLE BIG LEAGUE.

I really liked SERIAL MOM growing up (and had it on tape) and the "no white shoes" after labor day moment has to be one of the great moments in cinematic history.

I actually liked a few of these films: Serial Mom, Exit to Eden… Circle of Friends has one of my favorite quote: "It's like showing me to the top of the mountain and saying, 'There, Benny, you fat cow, that's what you can't have!'" — or something along those lines. And Steal Big, Steal Little inspired me to be a poor bohemian and live a communal lifestyle. How sad was I when I discovered that the life of a starving artist was rather depressing and that I really didn't want to spend that much time around other people? It was like SBSL showed me to the top of mountain and said, "There, Ernessa, you socially-awkward cow, that's what you can't have!"
