Get a (Better) Job
A Resume Tip by Monique King-Viehland
Numbers are powerful resume tools that will help your accomplishments get the attention they deserve from prospective employers. Think money, amounts, scale, magnitude, etc.
For example, you resume could read, “I managed a large staff and administered a multi-million dollar departmental budget.” Or your resume could read, “I managed approximately 75 individuals and administered a $26M departmental budget.”
Which one makes you sound cooler?
Employers see thousands of resumes and have short attention spans, every “number” counts in terms of getting their attention!
