Google Image Searches For GIA Reach All Time High [Daily News Brief]

Google announced this morning that image searches for stills from the 1998 made-for-television movie Gia have increased exponentially over the last twelve hours.

The film, based on the life of troubled model Gia Carangi, was relatively forgotten until early Tuesday morning.

“We’re at a loss to explain why interest in a fifteen-year-old movie starring Mercedes Ruhl and Faye Dunaway could have exploded like this,” said Google Chief Reinhardt August. “Faye Dunaway didn’t die did she?”
