Guess the Random Lyric: Final Score

Dec 08, 2008 4 Comments by

Well luckily for your pride, Zacki from Tall Glass of Shame has been listening to a ton of Fleetwood Mac lately and guessed correctly that Friday’s lyric was from “Silver Springs.” But that wasn’t enough for the win. And I was victorious last week 3-2. Nice (for me), right?

But we’ll see if you can take back the crown this week, starting with an English act whose new album I’m really digging right now. More about that on Thursday, but right now, who sang…

I gave my heart so easily
I cast aside my pride
But when you fell for someone else, baby
I broke up all inside

Guesses in the comments and we’ll go over the answer tomorrow. Til then here’s Stevie Nicks after the jump, belting out “Silver Springs” to her ex and muse and now friend, Lindsey Buckingham. We should all get the opportunity to sing “Silver Springs” to our bitter exes, don’t you think?

This lyric seemed very familiar to me, yet I couldn't quite put my finger on it. And I'm disappointed that as a Tom Jones fan, I couldn't identify it. However, you incorrectly called him a British singer, which is what likely led me astray. If you had correctly identified him as *Welsh*, I would've had a much greater chance of guessing this lyric. Because seriously, how many Welsh singers are there anyway?

well, controversial but true, wales and scotland are british subjects. It's all the UK. that's why acts like snow patrol and duffy can win brit-only music awards.
