Guess the Random Lyric: Me-1 1/2; You 1 1/2

Apparently you guys don’t punctuate every triumph in your life with a mental (and okay, sometimes vocal) incantation of “The Last Dragon,” as I do. And maybe that’s why you were Sho Nuff yesterday and I was Bruce Leroy. None of you guessed that the lyric was from The Last Dragon‘s beyond perfect theme song, so yesterday was a good day (for me).

Let’s see if I can push ahead today with a song by a certain rap group, which I went out of my way to see when they appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show in late 2007. The lead rapper of this group figures heavily into my 3rd novel, so I’ve been playing this song quite a bit lately. I love this track from their last album, b/c not only does it eviscerate the current state of rap, but it’s also a great workout song.
