Oh wow! Nobody guessed that yesterday’s lyric was from “Piano in the Dark” by Brenda Russell. And now we’re tied! So our double-or-nothing, 2-week fight to the death all comes down to TODAY. Dun-dun-dunnnh!

I like to listen to this next song on mornings when I’m feeling rather unmotivated. Also, I don’t care what anyone says, this singer kicks all sorts of ass.

flyin the darkness
moving like a meteorite

Guesses in the comments, and Brenda Russell, singing to a room full of white people who for whatever reason aren’t paying any attention to her whatsoever. Huh.

Darlin, you didn't get it at the last minute. You got it in AFTER today's Guess the Lyric post had gone up (i.e. after 7am). For the record, I'll honor any correct guess up to 6:30 am, but in this sitchy you were totally too late. Good on you for knowing your Brenda Russell, though.

ok everybody I'll give the artist.. and somebody of course will know the title :) Let's make it a joint win and hold hands as we cross the finish line and stomp on ETC's dream of a double week win… The artist is good ol' Pat Benetar! (Love her music… ETC: Jacob and I used to go down to the Holiday, that terrible gay bar by CMU and we would always put on "Hell is for Children" and the place would clear out in under a minute… hehe Love her!)
