Hello Friday: Monkey Bread!
Another Friday, another party weekend. Thanks to all of you that gave me wonderful breakfast recipes and suggestions. It was a difficult choice, but I’ve decided to go with Ayana’s monkey bread recipe because it’s simple, a lil’ different, and nostalgic. For whatever reason, I really enjoyed making bread when I was in junior high and high school, but I haven’t attempted it in over 10 years, so we’ll see. I’ll report back on Monday.
Other weekend plans include a holiday party with Steph from The Sauda Voice tonight, the “breakfast for dinner” holiday party on Saturday, and a Hannukah Movie Night (featuring Then She Found Me — don’t ask) with a couple of Smithies on Sunday. We’re also gearing up to shoot another web series with the wonderful director of my play, Grown-ups on the Playground, over the next two weeks, and we’re meeting about that this weekend. So exciting. I adore, adore, adore the 2-week holiday entertainment hiatus — though admittedly a bit more when I was actually getting paid for it. Still, this seems like a great way to kick off my holiday vacay.
What are you guys up to this weekend?
.
Picking up a few leftover Christmas presents and then sleeping, sleeping, sleeping…..I started my vacation day and I am off for the next two weeks. I am VERY excited about my Sekou's first Christmas, but I am even more excited to get some much needed rest.
