I Was a Bully and So Were You [Dear Thursday]

Hey-o, have I mentioned the $25 customized gift cards and the customized 32 CANDLES totes that we’re giving away every day until July 15th? You should totally hop on that.

Meanwhile, just wanted to thank Doret, from Color Online for her “10 Reasons to Buy 32 CANDLES by Ernessa T. Carter” post. My favorite: #4. [It's a] perfect summer time read — I just really love the thought of people reading 32 CANDLES on the beach or at least on vacation. But definitely click on over to see the rest of her list.

Last but not least, I did the 1/2 Dozen feature over Julianna Baggott’s blog “Home of Baggott & Asher & Bode.” I talk about bullies, what a horrible kid I was, and why you absolutely shouldn’t ever fall in love with a writer. So yeah, good times!

Love the stuff about not marrying a writer. You speak truth, and it’s funny.

I know, right! Luckily CH wasn’t warned ahead of time, though he says that he would have married me anyway. :)

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed 32 Candles! I just found it on the bookshelf of my hotel in Hawaii this morning and read it all day out by the pool. Davie is one of the greatest characters I have had the pleasure of encountering and I was incredibly happy spending the day reading your beautiful work. Looking forward to your stuff in the future–keep it up! :)

That’s so funny, Heather. I was eating at that one Turtle Bay restaurant on the beach and figured I should leave a copy on the rolling book shelf, since the Turtle Bay lobby is my absolute favorite place to write on the island. I’m so glad you found it!
