One More Thing Before We Go: By 2024 Gay Marriage Will Be Country Wide
Awesome forecast news: apparently the senior citizen death rate and flagging support for anti-gay marriage laws has a few statisticians forecasting that pro-gay marriage laws will be passed in every state by 2024.
See where your state falls in the forecast on the map below. I’m happy about this prediction, but sad that it will probably take my origin state of Missouri til 2016 to come to its senses. I’m also sad that I couldn’t think of a clever way to incorporate the phrase “it’s raining men!” into this post. Ah well.
.
This makes me both happy and sad at the same time. It's sad when we need to wait for people to die so others can have basic human rights. But I'm glad it will happen

Hmmm, I wonder why 2010 for California. Does that mean people think the courts will uphold Prop. 8 in their decision to be handed down in early June?
Yeah, sadly I think that's exactly what they're predicting: that the court will uphold in June, causing me to rant so badly that I'll probably have my baby in the middle of writing the angry blog. Then we'll get reversal legislation on the ballot in 2010 and Cali will vote it in, b/c so many other states got gay marriage on the books in 2009. Either way, I don't think Gavin Newsom is going to win the governorship. Do you?
