One More Thing Before We Go: Say Sci-What?
So instead of working on maybe not greenlighting so many lame, lame TV moviesĀ — kind of hard to believe that Battlestar Galatica actually started out as one of these — the Sci Fi Channel has decided to aid Americans in misspelling even more stuff.
Thus, their decision to change the name of their channel from Sci-Fi to Syfy. They also want to maybe trick non-geeks into watching it and they have a few other annoying reasons, which you can read about in this New York Times piece.
Anyway, I’m just waiting for the season finale of BSG and the new season of Torchwood — seriously it can’t come soon enough.

That has got to be the dumbest idea I have ever heard. Ever. This clearly comes from someone with a Harvard MBA.

hahaha re: zacki's comment. i'd like it better if they just went with syphy.
there's absolutely no good reason for that logo/name change!!! in the nyt article, they said they wanted to expand the public's idea of science fiction… not just space and aliens, but ghosts and superheros too. i fail to see how misspelling sci-fi achieves that!
