Procrastinate on This! Geek Clocks, Segregated Proms, and Cancelled Shows

Why do four-day weeks always seem harder than five-day weeks? It’s bizarre. Anyway, if you’re even half as tuckered as I am today, you’ll enjoy zoning out to this big chunk of procrastination. 20 minutes guaranteed. 2 hours if you watch #4 in full.

Seriously, how clever is this geek clock which replaces the # with an equivalent notation? And it's only $25. Click on the pic for the solutions.

1. I keep my coffee mug at my desk, so I never have to deal with other people in my office stealing and/or using it. But if you don’t want to keep your mug at your desk, this might be the perfect solution to make sure that no one else uses it. [LikeCool]

2. One of my best friends from high school is white, but we would not have remained friends if he had gone to “white prom” while I went to “black prom.” In fact, I would like to believe that I don’t have any white friends who would be okay with segregated proms, since it’s not the 50s. [NYT]

3. Rundown of all the shows that got canceled this season. I’m most sad about Dirty Sexy Money, The Game, Kings, Life, and My Name is Earl. But m/b your favorite show is also on the list? Let us know in the comments. [Yahoo]

4. I am SO happy about Sita Sings the Blues. I love inspired filmmakers who get it done well by any means necessary. [Something to Say]

5. How insane is this video from the 1930s about what people will wear in the 2000s? It kind of makes me want to challenge the fashion designers of today to imagine how fashion will look in 2100. Though I wonder if today’s fashion designers have that much imagination and vision, since so many of them seem to be into recycling looks from the past and not paving a bold new fashion way for the future.
