Procrastinate on This! Friday Edition [Sept. 4]
So I’ve got to go on a sure-to-be-fun adventure of post-pregnancy swimsuit shopping in preparation for our trip to Catalina with my sister. Also hitting the store for a couple of beach reads (don’t like to take my Kindle in the sand) and I might finally accept that my feet are not going to shrink back down to their pre-pregnancy size and buy some (short heels) that actually fit. How about you? Have any fun Labor Day plans? Sound off in the comments — oh, and enjoy all of this Friday Procrastination when the boss’s not looking.
[Friendly Programming Note: FaN will be off on Monday. See you next Tuesday!]

2. Is it time to embrace American Royalty (read: gross and self-righteous nepotism)? Thanks to Facebook Friend, Leah W. for the heads up. [Salon]
3. Hollywood still a desert of new ideas. Warner Bros. is turning Soul Train into a movie. [Home of the Urban Chameleon]
4. Don’t we all want to learn to make poached chicken and couscous in a coffee maker MacGyver-style? As a matter of fact, my husband did send me this link. How did you know? [Gizmodo]
5. Have you ever woken up to find a white owl outside your window? If so, you probably want to watch the below.
