According to a 2010 study Louisiana’s adult obesity rate is the 8th highest in the nation at 28.9 percent; the state also has the 7th highest rate of overweight youths, ages 10-17, at 35.9 percent.

Though these numbers are indeed staggering, it’s the fact there are 7 and 6 other states who are WORSE in these respective categories.
