Buy Your Geek This: Cat Toy Christmas
.
A blogumn by CH
So it’s coming up on Christmas, and if you are like me and buy your cats presents for the holiday here is your catmas gift guide.
First the Fling ama String. This is the best cat toy ever. I can watch this video all day long and can only imagine what my cats would do if this was in our house.
Next a laser pointer. I actually have one of these and our youngest cat cannot play with this thing enough. Seriously, he plays until he is out of breath. Even our oldest cat will run around the house chasing the red dot.
Last I would suggest some simple mice. Our cats must have ten different mice that they are continually loosing and finding again.
My old cats when you would just *touch* the laser pointer thing & jiggle the little key chain thing attached, they would starting making that excited, meeping noise that cats have.
I have hesitated buying the cats xmas presents, just to keep the illusion of not being completely bonkers, but that Fling ama string might entertain me just as much as it entertains the cats. We recently got our cats the Kong Hugga Wubba toy and they flipped over it so much we got a second one so they don't have to fight over it. It even made our 16 yr old act like a kitten.

As a disclaimer, I am NOT a cat person. (Blame the allergies). That said, I've seen my uncle torment his cats with a laser pointer. He would beam it down the hall and then up the closed door at the end of the hall. The cats would pick up speed and then jump a good 4 or 5 feet up in the air trying to follow the darn red dot. It was hilarious. :)
