Guess the Random Lyric: You=1; Me=0

Ugh! Jennifer from the Internet guessed that yesterday’s lyric was from “Son of a Preacher Man” by Dusty Springfield, and now you’re ahead, but m/b I can tie things up with Random Tuesday.

Now, I actually hate this song, but I heard it the other day and now it’s stuck in my head. This guy was one cadre of the “white soul singers” that served as a precursor for Justin Timberlake in the 70s and 80s. Except I like Justin Timberlake and I do not like this fellow.
