Guess the Random Lyric: You-5 1/2; Me- 4 1/2

Ah, crap, you people won our double or nothing week by one point, thanks to a double team guess by slpc from Cali and Zack from “Tall Glass of Shame.” They guessed correctly that Friday’s lyric was from Pat Benatar’s “All Fired Up.”

My spirit is crushed, and what do we do when my spirit is crushed due to a lyrical loss — that’s right: THEME WEEK.

However, this one isn’t quite as directed as our past Musical, All-Woman, and Black Artists weeks. Basically I just let CH pick out all the songs this week, making sure that he stuck to my general positioning rules of Classic Monday, Indie Tuesday, Soundtrack Wednesday, Black Artist Thursday, and Old Skool Friday. I also told him that the songs couldn’t be too obscure.

Still, CH has totally different taste from me, when it comes to music, so be prepared.

First up, a psychadelic rock group that I didn’t find out about until after their lead singer went out to achieve worldwide commercial success with a much different brand of music in the 80’s. I’ve never heard of this song, but here goes:
