The only thing better than that Kia Soul Hamster “Party Rock” spot that’s all over fall television right now? The FULL version of that same ad. Yeah, you pretty much had me at dancing hamsters…
How did we not talk about how cool this ad is at the party? I saw the original full version first and loved it. At first, I thought it was a trailer for a new Halo game (they stole the look from them), and then I was LMAO at the ships with the laser light show and the hamsters. The Kia Ad Team deserves awards for this sheer brilliance. The car however, meh. It’s not as cool as they’d like you to believe. (I was interested in one, so I rented one for a weekend and was very disappointed. (I didn’t have high expectations, but it didn’t matter).
That’s why we’re going to start doing quarterly happy hours. There were too many nerdy topics to discuss! It’s funny, because I was just saying to CH how you really have to see every car for yourself, because what people value and what commercials think people value aren’t the same thing. As far as being both dependable and clever, I’d vote for the Mini — if you have the money and/or lifestyle to support it — or the Scion, which sadly is no longer made.
