One More Thing Before We Go: Flirting with Forty
Seriously, how is this Heather Locklear Lifetime movie not How Stella Got Her Groove Back with white people? If I were Terry McMillian, I’d sue.
But if you actually have been dying for an all white version of Stella (I’m not counting the sassy black best friend, b/c that only makes the white girl rom-com cliche even worse), check your listings. Flirty with Forty premiered last Saturday, but it’s Lifetime, so I’m sure they’ll play it again. And again. And then, you know, again…
It also seems like that same actor's plot line on LIpstick Jungle, just stretched out to movie length.
have you bumped your head? obviously taye diggs was hotter. did you see the shower scene?
OK, hypothetical question – is Robert Buckley as hot, hotter, or not as hot as Taye Diggs was in STELLA?
The answer is always Taye Diggs.
When I read the book Flirting With Forty for book club, my main comment was that it had the exact same story line as How Stella Got Her Groove back. No originality but I did enjoy the story. The bad part about me making that comment was that the author of Flirting was our guest for the book club discussion. *shrugs* Oh well…some times the truth hurts!
THAT is comedy, Carrie – I once had an author criticize my choices as a director without knowing I had directed her play. The look on her face when I told her was priceless…
I dunno, ladies – hot as Taye Diggs may be, Robert Buckley has an certain appealing quality (especially to women twice his age who happen to be on television it seems.) :) Somehow I think you wouldn't kick him out of bed…
